This policy explains what "Life of Mogwai" collects, how it's used, and your choices. The blog is an independent publication operated by Justin Irabor.
What I collect
- Subscription details: the email address you provide when subscribing, your name if you choose to give it, and (for paid members) your tier and status.
- Payment information: handled entirely by Stripe. I never see or store your card details.
- Email engagement: whether newsletters are delivered, opened, or clicked, to monitor deliverability and improve content.
- Web analytics: privacy-friendly, cookie-free page-view stats. No cross-site tracking and no advertising profiles.
How I use it
- To send the newsletter and content you subscribed to.
- To operate memberships and process payments.
- To send essential account email (sign-in links, confirmations, receipts).
- To keep the site secure and understand which content resonates.
I do not sell or rent your personal information.
Cookies
The site uses essential cookies only — to keep you signed in to your account. Analytics do not use cookies.
Who processes data on my behalf
- Ghost (self-hosted) — content and member accounts
- Mailgun (Sinch) — email delivery
- Stripe — payment processing
- Tinybird — aggregate, cookieless analytics
- Fly.io — hosting
These providers process data only to provide their service.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe anytime via the link in any newsletter, or from your account page.
- Access, correct, or delete your data by getting in touch through the blog.
- Subscribing is optional and based on your consent.
Retention
I keep subscriber data while you remain subscribed and remove or anonymize it on request or after you unsubscribe, except records I must retain for legal reasons (e.g., payments).

I may update this policy; material changes will be noted here with a new date.
